How to Do Equal Distance Stakeout with RTK — Step-by-Step Guide

If you've ever needed to divide a line into equal parts for construction, mapping, or surveying work, the Equal Distance Stakeout function in your RTK is a real time-saver.
In this post, I'll walk you through each step — it's super simple even if you're new to RTK surveying!

🛰 Step 1: Go to the Survey Interface

Open your RTK and go to the Survey interface.
Tap "Point Survey", and collect the start point and end point of the line you want to divide.
These two points will be the base for your equal distance calculation.

⚙️ Step 2: Open Equal Point Calculation

Next, go to the Tool interface, and tap "Equal Point Calculation."
Here, you'll need to select the start and end points that you just measured.

📏 Step 3: Set the Number of Segments

You'll see a box labeled "Number of segmentation."
This is where you decide how many equal parts you want to divide the line into.
For example, if you want 10 equal sections, just type 10 and tap "Calculate."

The system will automatically calculate all the coordinates for each equal point along the line.

💾 Step 4: Save the Points

Once the calculation is done, tap "Save."
A pop-up window called "Point Info"  will appear.
Here, give your points a name — for example, D1 — and tap "OK."

📍 Step 5: View the Points in Stakeout

Now, go back to the Survey interface and tap "Point Stakeout."
You'll see that all your equal-distance stakeout points have already been saved automatically in the Point Coordinate list.

From here, you can start your stakeout work directly — no manual calculation needed!

✅ Final Thoughts

And that's it!
You've just completed an equal distance stakeout with your RTK — quick, easy, and accurate.

This feature is especially useful for road layout, pipeline construction, or any project that requires precise equal spacing between points.
Give it a try next time you're out in the field!
